History
Elixar was created to enable people and companies to monitor and secure their wireless network. Officially founded in September 2002, Elixar had over one year of successful product development, testing, and deployment prior to formation. Its AirTraf prototype product, AirTraf 1.0, was one of the first Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) analyzers and has been downloaded by over 11,000 users globally. After completing its first round of funding in March 2003, Elixar has rapidly built a first-class management and development team. In May 2003, Elixar moved into its new headquarters at the First Flight Venture Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Elixar's newest commercial product, AirTraf 2.0 Hosted, was unveiled in June 2003 at the 802.11 Planet Conference in Boston. The product's new distributed architecture allows users to access their data and monitor their network from any web browser. Not only does this revolutionary technology simplify and improve network performance and secure wireless transmissions, but it also takes advantage of tremendous cost savings.
