Target Users

Elixar solutions have been developed to meet the needs of several important target markets. Generally, our products address the compelling need for more secure and manageable networks - both wireline and wireless. Given the rapid growth in WLAN deployments, our AirTraf portfolio matches the prevailing trends in the market. Given the fact that costs of fixing computer viruses ($15B) was 150% higher than the cost of security software ($6B) in 2001, our GroundTraf portfolio matches prevailing trends in the market.

Specifically, Elixar products and portfolio suites are suited for:
  • Small/Medium Enterprise
    • Security Budgets - many SMEs lack the budget necessary for expensive network security systems and are often left to fend for themselves with less reliable solutions. With Elixar solutions, lower cost does not equate to lower reliability. Our products are developed with operational simplicity in mind so that a time-strapped and budget-constrained organization can still deploy powerful security solutions.
    • WLAN installations - many SMEs also lack the budget to rewire existing locations to provide high speed data networking for all employees. With wireless LANS, installing expensive wiring is no longer necessary. However, even with WEP-based encryption, WLANs are a gaping security hole that Elixar's AirTraf portfolio helps fill.
  • Hospitals/Healthcare environments
    • Federally regulated security measures - with the HIPAA regulations in place, health care workers are required to meet stringent security guidelines. Elixar products offer the highest levels of security in packages that fit easily into healthcare environments.
  • Universities
    • Triple threat - developed in the demanding IT environment of a major University, Elixar products have been "fire tested" by the triple threat of advanced users (students), multiple topology networks (wireless and wireline), and always-on environments (hacker targets). That is why our solutions match the rigorous requirements of a university IT department.
  • Large Enterprises
    • Distributed/widespread networks - the distributed architecture of Elixar's product portfolio's is a perfect match for the widespread environment faced by IT departments of large enterprises. By bringing all security and management information back to a centralized interface, Elixar allows network administrators to reduce "remote management" costs, while allowing them the flexibility of performing their work from anywhere (one Internet connection required!).
    • Multiple topology networks - with a combination of wireless and wired networks, large enterprises face numerous management and control issues. Fortunately, Elixar offers an end-to-end (wireless and wireline) solution that meets those needs.
Other markets for Elixar products include security consultants and other security service providers.
